The LJGT Social Committee invites you to strengthen your connections between club meetings, and join the new Rotary Breakfast Bunch for a delicious meal and good conversation. We will meet once a month in small groups to get to know each other in a different way than in our club meetings. You are invited to go to the restaurant that is closer to you: THE COTTAGE in Del Mar (1555 Camino del Mar, in Del Mar Plaza), for those living north of the 56, and SNOOZE in La Jolla (8861 VIlla La Jolla Drive). for those living south of the 56. These will be cozy neighborhood groups--to eat, chat and laugh together. Spouses and friends are welcome. What better way to start the day?! DATE: FRIDAY, JANUARY 30 AT 8:30 AM. Please indicate in the Registration "Tab Text" section which restaurant you plan to attend. Contact Dory Beatrice for more information at 858 449 0558. (Breakfast at your own expense.) |

Today we showcase one of San Diego's most impactful home-grown microfinance non-profits, Women's Empowerment International (WE). Since 2003, WE has funded close to $3 million in business loans and financial empowerment projects in nine countries, including five San Diego initiatives.
One of today's speakers is a special friend to La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary: co-founder Winifred Cox, who credits some of our members with helping get WE off the ground and running.
It's an honor to welcome WE co-founder Win Cox and WE board member Linda Kurtz for their program entitled: "Investing in Economic Empowerment for Women: Creating lasting impact to alleviate poverty for women and families in San Diego and around the globe.”

Join us to tour San Diego’s newest crown jewel, the Jacobs Music Center, on Friday, February 13
If you haven’t seen the newly renovated Jacobs Music Center, you are in for a treat on Friday, February 13 at 8 am.
Join us for a one-hour tour of this historic venue, originally built in 1929 as the Fox Theatre, but now a truly world class concert hall. The recently completed $125 million enhancement includes reconfigured seating, theatrical lighting to showcase the building’s ornate Rococo design, and the addition of a choral terrace behind the orchestra, where guests can sit when that area is not in use for a performance.
The home of our city’s incredible San Diego Symphony will welcome La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotarians in groups of 20 for a one-hour tour beginning at 8 am, so please RSVP early. There is no cost, but you’re on your own for parking. (With any luck, you can find street parking or use a neighboring parking lot.)
