How often do you meet? Is there an attendance requirement?
La Jolla Golden Triangle Rotary Club meets for breakfast every Friday at 7:00 am at the Marriott Hotel, 4240 La Jolla Village Drive, La Jolla CA 92037. As a new member of the LJGTR, we expect you to attend at least 75% of the meetings. Rotary policy requires permanent members to attend at least 50% of club meetings. If you miss a club meeting, you are encouraged to attend a make-up meeting at any Rotary club in the area.

Each active member of a Rotary Club is classified in accordance with the member’s business or profession. A classification describes the principal and recognized activity of the firm with which an active member is connected or the member’s principal and recognized business or professional activity.
Are there committees in Rotary? What are the Avenues of Service?
Yes, each of the Avenues of Service listed below have an active committee in place. Each Avenue meets at different times each month and we expect new members to join one committee upon becoming a red badge.
How much does it cost to be a LJGT Rotarian?
Costs for club membership are spread throughout the year and are generally around $1100-$2000 per year. The breakdown is as follows:
What is the difference between a red badge and a blue badge?
A red badge signifies that you are a probationary, newer member of the LJGT Rotary club. And that you have not yet completed the requirements of becoming a “Blue Badge” permanent member. Once you have completed a set number of tasks you graduate from being a red badge to a blue badge.
